i was referring to male singers only, may be some female singers sing better than male singers. I agree with you that every boduy has their opinion and respect that. also, i understand that everybody has their own liking. But my first comment was reply to somebody who bluntly put that Rafi is the Best Indian Singer, then I replied to him that he may the best 'Hindi' Singer but in India there are lot many others better than him. Regarding Yesudas, he has won most number of national and state awards for best male singer in India (I am not sure but i read somewhere) and these awards are decided by an expert panel, hence i feel he is the best in India (i still agree with you everybody has got their own liking).

You have your opinion but for that to be really true, everyone in India will have to agree with you. I am Keralian and have listened to Indian music of different languages...and while I LOVE Yesudas' songs, I don't think you can really decide who's the best, there are so many and they are ALL so good!~suni

hey knpradeep, I understand your devotion to Yesudas, and agree he is an amazing singer, but I think that singers like Rafi and Kishore and Mannadey, and also the lady singers like Lata, Subbalakshmi, Chitra etc...are also amazing singers. Every singer has their individual beauty of voice, style strengths and musical versatility....but to say that Yesudas is the greatest is being kinda biased. (contd)

i feel language is not a barrier for musics. there are even more songs which are having really very complex notes. there is a musician called Raveendran who have done lot of great songs for malayalam movies, should listen to those if you get a chance. Also, i would like to mention that, classical music (Especially Karnataka Sangeetham) has influenced Malayalam movie songs a lot, and hence generally lot of good malayalm songs have complex notes and very difficult to sing comparedto hindi songs

you have given me the links of the complex renditions of Jesudas. This is what I wanted. Thank you very much. Recently in one of the TV channels, I saw Jesudas' interview in which singer anuradha sriram was singing his song and was mentioning that the song had some complex notes. Since am from a different state who can't understand malayalam much, I didn't remember the song. anyway, am happy to see your songs list. Thanks again.

I feel most people mistake 'Hindi' movies for Indian movies and 'Tamil' movies for South Indian movies. Lot of them don't know there are movies exist other than Hindi and Tamil.To know how best Yesudas is, one should listen to his best malayalam songs. There can be arguments who is the best 'Hindi' Singer. there are Mannaday, Rafi, Kishore Kumar. But if you ask who is the best in India, there is only one, that is K J yesudas
