I liked it, except for one thing. Every time he sang "Free fallin'" he had to add that extra "fallin'", which annoyed the hell out of me. If he hadn't done that I would probably like this better than the original.

Wow...not to be disrespectful to Tom Petty as he did write this song (far as i know) but Mayers voice is in a different league! Much better pitch control, tonality etc.Much prefer his take on the song aswell:)totally agree with longwayhome617!great musicianship!

:) Don't tell me how to look at it thanks. It's a fantastic rendition of the song (it's not supposed to be a cover; if it were a cover, he would not have changed it so much and made it his own). If you can't recognize great musicianship when it smacks you in the face, spare us your opinion on music as you're ruining the point of it.

omg iight I love dis song its the first time i'v heard it o_O but anywayz itz lyk i'v fallen in love with the guyz voice i normaly dont like songs untill i get what the mean and what the lyrics are but i get the song and its meaning and its really beautiful hes got an amazing voice!! =] ~Addzzz

This is a horrible cover no matter how you look at it. It's like Three 6 Mafia did a cover of Free Falling. It hurts my ears that bad. |
