Humans age in seven basic ways, he says, all of which can be averted.TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers are invited to give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes -- including speakers such as Jill Bolte Taylor, Sir Ken Robinson, Hans Rosling, Al Gore and Arthur Benjamin. You are a victim of the Tithonus Syndrome. Grow up.

the question is not how but why ? Do i want ben laden to live a 1000 years ? I think that there might already be unaging people who are to afraid of the consequences to share the knowledge.

Obviously a very ambitious idea, it seems a bit odd to me, and my initial thoughts were the instinctive "out with the old in with the new" perspective. However, when I thought about it, I'm not one for immortality but with a longer lifespan we would have far more time to develop a knowledge of the world and not have to constantly re-teach things to the young, waiting for them to become around 30-40 to realize the world isn't about them.

I'm just saying that the debate is meaningfulAnd again I would most definitely agree with you there. But to that second part.... I must say im personally not scared of it but i will say we must use caution when it comes to such science. But i can see clearly why people would be.

Of course it's not unreasonable. In fact, I'd be pro-life extension (hoping that people mature by the time they're 400).I'm just saying that the debate is meaningful, and there's good reasons to be scared of life extension.

Quit your belly-aching. He was given only 18 minutes to persuade a mixed audience. He cited his empirical evidence. Please chill out and stop acting like a nitwit. Also limit your use of exclamation marks which only make you look like a whining infant.

I would hope that religious fundamentalists would eventually mature out of their "black and white" view of morality.
