This is a beautifully simple melody and the tendency for many current R&B singers would be to add interpretive gingerbread to it. Some approach singing more as an athletic event than an art form. KD just sings it, purely, soulfully. This is perfect, no tricks will improve it. That's what I mean.

Okay, I'm a straight woman, but damned if k.d. isn't kinda hott with the voice of an angel! When I first saw this video, I was soo taken by the beauty of this womans voice. Between k.d., and Annie Lennox they both have the androgynous look going for them and boy does it work for them! Work it ladies with the voices of angels.. just sayin' and this album is wicked hott as well. Saw k.d. years ago in L.A. and she was just as amazing live!

Ultra simple melody, sung beautifully, w/o any needless/stupid wiggles or curls added that supposedly makes singing soulful. This goes soulfully right to the soul.
