I agree with the whole gravity thing as well, but there is also a disadvantage for the jet. Think about it, gravity is still trying to pull that jet down as it's trying to go up. Both halves of the trip for the jet would cancel each other out. The Veyron is an amazing car, and it's always fun to watch these kinds of matches, but I think it will be a long time before a production car can win against a jet.
