Don't have that CD to hand just now, but I think usually Dave Woodhead plays the trumpet on his recordings. And that guy resembles pictures I managed to find on t'interweb. So it's probably Dave Woodhead.

This song is Billy Bragg doing what he can only do. Pure heart on show. I love this man, I love his music, I love his ideals but apart from that it shows that white men do have soul. Even though we whities have fuc*ked everthing up it gives me HOPE. Billy we love you.
