Your favorites is a rendition of "Round Midnight" by Thelonious Monk. Roy Haynes is a major Innovator who played with Charlie Parker, Sarah Vaughn, Monk, Coltrane and many other greats. Jazz is progressive by nature and Haynes as progressed to encompass what you appreciate and more. Keep listening and hopefully you will progress beyond the safe haven of the familiar. Ask those you appreciate and they will probably set you straight. He's is a great to any jazz drummer worth his salt.

It's not over until it's over - with Roy Haynes it will never be over! |
