nbh00d and indigoblue555 believe me the driver usually (not always the case tho) comes out fine where as us passengers normally don't. i speak from experience unfortunatly. the drivers head and neck are normal compressed inside the bodywork, only problem then is the shoulders slide on the tarmac and can get burns

Its rare a driver gets seriously hurt in an outfit,you get compressed into the bodywork a bit so damage is usually to the upper back,burns etc.The driver is wedged inside so he cant get out easily either.Its a great sport though :-)

to nbh00d - that seems to me too.I guess that a carbon fiber cage could be tested,but at the same time I notice that there's no asking by these drivers about safety improbement,as far as I know =

yea but it is safer to fall not with the bikes but these are sidecars where the driver crash with the car...rolling upside down without rollcages..that's crazy in which the driver's head and neck will be easily get hurt when supporting the weight of the car.

Imagine cages in motoGP, superbike. Destroys aerodynamics at very high speeds and they are way too heavy.

When rollin upside down the driver costantly hits the ground with his head.Why no safety cage or a kind of roll bar ?
