Here's one thing they don't tell you in the video. There is a spring in them which locks out the key mechanism. One end is accessible through an opening in the side of the cuffs. Push it to one end, and the cuffs are secure. It is deeply recessed to make it extremely difficult, if not impossible, for a person with a key to release it.
