Kishore won first filmfare award for this song. Sad but true.He never got a filfare earlier even after great songs in films like AMARPREM,NAMAK HARAM,AAP KI KASAM,KATI PATANG,SAFAR & A LOT MORE WITH ENDLESS LIST.

man do i love this song...i grew up in the caribbean, ancestors are from india, i didnt even know d meaning of the words and i got attached. when i did find out the meaning i loved it more......

look up "anand ashram", a great film where he plays a doctor who goes into the villages to practice medicine...great film. it has the song "rahe naye naye, rasta naya naya"
