Hello all Iam from assam ..I can asure you that all the songs has been writen n composed in assamese first which we have listened from very small, he came outside has a brilliant academic records had a great fan following in Kolkatta thas how he transalated songs into bengali and even came in the national limelight after which his melodious tunes were translated into Hindi.

what yu mean? yu mean that he song first in hindi? i don know but but seems to me logical as some one said to me (he is an asamese i guess) that he first sang in asamese

In fact, much before Virgin, Bhupenda sang the "Ganga Behti Ho Kyon" in Hindi for Doordarshan when he was conferred with teh Dada Saheb Phalke Award.

Yes but some one told me that he actually all the songs sang and wrote in asamese(that is very related to bangla) and then all he converted to bangla,hindi and so. he is ever and enourmous popular

i don't his son's name. but his wife's (or ex?) - a remarkably beautiful one - name is Priyambada Hazarika from whom Bhupenda has a son who was in Japan some 27 years ago.

very true, barpeta. the only difference is that lots of other musicians pick-up music from different parts of the world but never acknowledge it. bhupenda has the honesty to admit it openly. in fact, in his every live performance he mentions about ole man river. |
