Hi I have just returned back from Mombasa. Kenya this week and and actually saw Owen and his new mate Cleo the hippo. He is looking well though still small for his actual size. he lives in Haller park should you want to google and find out more

The original website from Lafarge is no longer. Last I had read was that Owen was settling in nicely with the older hippo, Cleo. Cleo was apparently too aggressive to be in with Mzee and other tortoises. But Mzee has some new tortoise friends with him.

I read the books to my son's first grade class last year. They loved them and his 2nd grade wants me to read them and update the kids on what Owen and Mzee are up to now. I can't find any info regarding how they are now. The last I heard they had been separated. Does anyone have an update that I can share with my son and his class mates? Thank you.
